Chapter 2, Martial Arts
Li Xuan possesses above-average aptitude, yet he has the mindset of an adult. With the aid of a golden finger, he completes this stage of cultivation not much slower than several geniuses within the sect, achieving the completion of the Zhou Tian cycle in just over four years
In today's world, time travel has become a commonplace occurrence, and obtaining a set of skills from the world of Shu Mountain through a golden finger seems quite normal as well
After cultivating the "Qingyang Illustrated" and establishing a solid foundation in the Dao, one can seamlessly transition to practicing any other techniques, which is one of its significant characteristics
Moreover, recalling the awkward issue of the lifespan of cultivators in this world, Li Xuan could not help but curl his lips, feeling an urge to complain in his heart
However, even according to the description of the Yuan Magnetic Method, its potential seems to be much greater than that of the Returning to True Method.
Among the four items, three are of the mysterious grade and one is of the earthly grade. Although there is no heavenly grade reward, Li Xuan is already quite satisfied.
When Li Xuan first began his practice, he discovered that true cultivation was vastly different from the legends of his past life
Without further contemplation, it was clear that with his current state, trying to understand the grand hall and the silver wheel was nothing but a futile wish; diligent cultivation was the only serious matter
Li Xuan nodded knowingly, practicing the "He Sha Qi Shu". In the future, if he could attain the Dharma body, there would be three choices. The lowest level would be the "Yuan Magnetic Dharma Body", which has the least potential. The middle level is the "Five Elements Immortal Body", which possesses extraordinary potential, and at least after cultivation, one could aspire to become a Celestial Immortal. The highest level is the "Hunyuan Dao Body".
The realm of the Dharma Body corresponds to the levels of immortals and demons. Specifically, Li Xuan originally only had hearsay knowledge, but now, having obtained the rare book of He Sha, he has resolved many of the confusions in his heart.
Ultimately, the limitations of one's qualifications gradually become apparent after entering the path. Among those who entered the food energy stage at the same time as Li Xuan, he has only barely established his foundational path, while that individual has already achieved a complete foundational path and has begun to evolve their inner landscape
Thus, he obtained the "He Sha Qi Book," and Li Xuan could not help but feel immensely surprised. Regardless, it is certainly much better than the two inheritances within the door.
He put away the prize in front of him, and with a thought, Li Xuan opened his eyes to find himself in his quiet room. After observing for a moment, Li Xuan raised an eyebrow and said, "Is it just the consciousness entering?"
As for the other work, "The True Method of the Milky Way," it was obtained by a senior member of the sect during an outing a thousand years ago. Although it also directly points to the Dharma body and can lead to the attainment of the "Milky Way Dao Body," to this day, no one has reached that stage.
After a thorough reading, Li Xuan discovered that this "He Sha Qi Shu" has diverged somewhat from the original novel's description, becoming more aligned with the system of this world. However, the fundamental core still revolves around the cultivation of the Five Elements True Qi.
Li Xuan no longer cares so much about the inheritance within the sect. However, after becoming a true disciple, in order to assist in the swift transition of martial arts techniques, the sect will reward a resource.
The Dao Foundation is categorized into nine grades, with only the seventh to ninth grades considered to be of superior quality. Li Xuan diligently cultivated for ten years, but due to limitations in his aptitude, he could only barely forge a seventh-grade Dao Foundation. However, this was sufficient for him to easily attain the status of a true disciple of the Guizhen Sect.
At first glance, this thing truly startled Li Xuan, but he soon calmed down.
One of them is the town's signature technique, the "Return to Truth Sutra," which, upon reaching the realm of the Dharma Body, allows one to attain the "Return to Truth Body"
However, Li Xuan has a good mindset. Now that the golden opportunity has arrived, as long as he continues to adhere to his original intentions and diligently cultivates, the future will surely not be too bleak.
The description of the Primordial Dao Body in the book is also vague, likely just the speculation of the Sand Daoist. After all, he himself has only achieved the Innate Five Elements Immortal Body by reversing the Acquired Five Elements and has not yet grasped the threshold of the Primordial Dao Body
However, in terms of the standards set by the Golden Hand at the beginning, Li Xuan was still a great realm away, and this realm took him ten years of effort to achieve
In the novels of previous lives, this "He Sha Qi Shu" is a legacy left by the ancient immortal He Sha Dao Ren, directly pointing to the levels of celestial immortals and even golden immortals
However, over the years, apart from the high-level practitioner Guizhenzi, who attained enlightenment during the Middle Ages, there have only been a few masters throughout the thousands of years who have achieved the Dharma body. This clearly indicates the profound essence of the "Guizhen Jing".
Human Immortal, Earth Immortal, Heaven Immortal
As a seventh-rank Daoist, with the identity of a true disciple, Li Xuan can now be considered to have truly established his footing within the Return to Truth Sect
Although the Guizhen sect's lineage is not top-tier, the foundational method within the sect, the "Qingyang Diagram Interpretation," was obtained by the Guizhen patriarch from the esteemed Daoist Lord Tianxuan. It is a rare and superior method in today's world. If it were not merely a portion prior to the Dao foundation, it is unlikely that it would be so readily provided to disciples for their initiation.
At the age of sixteen, Zhou Tianyuan was considered a moderately significant seed disciple within the Guizhen Sect. Therefore, under the intentional care of the sect, although Li Xuan was stuck at the threshold of officially entering the Dao for three years, he successfully stepped into the Qi Feeding Stage before the age of twenty, allowing him to consume the wind and drink the dew, no longer relying on the five grains.
Among the twenty rewards, only four items can be considered decent for Li Xuan, while the rest are mostly items like Peiyuan Pills, which he no longer has any use for given his level of cultivation
By around the age of twelve, when the physical training has reached a certain level, one can rely on the internal energy to circulate through the meridians and proceed to the next stage of cultivation
The remaining item is a relatively well-preserved spiritual weapon, a flying sword, which has just compensated for Li Xuan's regret of lacking a suitable flying sword, even though he is not particularly skilled in swordsmanship
Furthermore, the state following the cultivation of Qi is the foundation of the Dao, signifying the establishment of a solid groundwork for the Great Way in the future, which is a crucial step in the practice of cultivation
Otherwise, it is feared that for Li Xuan to forge a seventh-grade Dao foundation, it will be even more arduous
In the entire True Return Sect, there are only two methods that directly point to the true nature of the body, and they are not as advanced as those found in the "He Sha Qi Shu".
The realm of the Daoist foundation, the inner landscape, the manifestation of the law, the body of the law, each step represents a new heaven. I am merely at the beginning, with a long way to go before reaching the state of the body of the law, which possesses boundless divine powers and a long lifespan ahead.
As for the highest valued reward from the land, it also greatly satisfied Li Xuan
The Zhou Tian Yi realm is divided into the Greater and Lesser Zhou Tian, which is the time to test one's innate talent and understanding. Those with dull aptitude may take ten to twenty years to barely achieve the completion of the Greater Zhou Tian, while those with decent talent may only require three to five years
The Book of He Shaqi
Initially, I naively believed that achieving the Dharma body would grant me immortality, but it was only after formally engaging in cultivation that I discovered that the lifespan of cultivators in this world is, for some unknown reason, much shorter than I had imagined
After breaking through the Dao Foundation, Li Xuan hurriedly reported to the sect and quickly returned to his cave dwelling. According to the notice from the sect, he would officially be granted the status of a true disciple in three days and would proceed to the Scripture Repository to receive the inheritance
Among the three rewards of the highest grade, two are excellent natural treasures, which I will set aside for now and not mention further
The practice before entering the path can begin as early as the age of 6. This stage is typically focused on body conditioning, energy cultivation, and internal strengthening. Since the bodies of young children have not yet fully developed, to avoid overexertion, this stage is generally conducted in a step-by-step manner. Of course, those with abundant resources are exceptions to this rule.
The one in Li Xuan's hands has not disappointed him, yet it is also a technique that directly points to the level of the celestial being in the realm of the Dharma body.
